Burrard St Bridge

Today we rented a couple of bicycles and rode around False Creek. On the way, we stopped for coffee with the BMW rider we met in Lillooet. Then continued on around until we got to Granville Island. We went into the farmer's market, and picked up some fresh fruit for lunch. Then ate it on a shady bench outside. You can see the island in the picture under the Burrard Street Bridge. It's a great place to walk or bicycle to.

Picture: I grabbed a picture off the internet because I forgot to take one while we were crossing the bridge.

  1. I have to say I'm a little jealous. My wife and I love the northwest and have visited Seattle twice. We have always wanted to visit Vancouver.
We had plans to fly over this year and rent some bikes, but with airfares going up and some other problems, we had to give up the idea.
But it's nice to see someone else realise their dream.

    1. It does feel a lot like a dream come true. All that planning for five months paid off. We'll have to wait a while for the final bill to come in.

By the way, correction. The Granville Island Market is under the Granville bridge, not the Burrard bridge. We crossed the Burrard bridge by bicycle, and could see the market under the next bridge. The picture is Burrard bridge.
